The Primal Health Coach Program

The Primal Health Coach Program I graduated from is centered on ancestral health principles, a scientifically validated wellness plan that mimics that of our primal ancestors and supports our genetic blueprint with real-food, low-carb eating, inspired movement and play, and stress-reduction and balance in all aspects of life.

The program is comprised of 16 comprehensive modules based on evolutionary health science to teach us how to reprogram genes to direct optimal cellular function. We learned how to best coach clients toward lifelong functional fitness, efficient fat burning and moderated insulin production. We discovered how to break through weight loss plateaus and exercise for optimal health and gained a complete understanding of the best-to-worst spectrum of food choices and how to help clients implement lifestyle behaviors that support their health and wellness goals. We were shown how to strengthen the coach-client bond with a practical approach to securing clients, structuring sessions, asking questions, and motivating transformation.

In addition, the Primal Health Coaching system is based on Integrative Health Coaching (IHC), one of the most well-studied, scientifically validated methods of health coaching. According to Duke University’s Integrative Medicine department, “Integrative Health Coaching empowers clients to make lasting health behavior changes that are the cornerstones of lifelong well-being. It bridges the gap between medical recommendations and patients’ abilities to successfully implement those recommendations into their complex lives.”

The Institute for Integrative Nutrition Program

In the Institute for Integrative Nutrition program (IIN) I graduated from we learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories including Ayurveda, gluten-free, Paleo, raw, vegan, macrobiotics, and everything in between. We also learned some tenets unique to IIN which set them apart namely the concepts of “Primary Foods”, “Bio-Individuality”, “Crowding Out”, and “Deconstructing Cravings”.
